The Vacaville High women’s golf team won Thursday against Fairfield when the Bulldogs hit a 276.
Brooke Williams had the lowest score with 45, while Raquel McGrath had 53 to finish second. Rossy Fernald hit 56, Grace Kramer hit 59 and Maya Farris hit 63.
The match came a few days after Vacaville placed second in the Monticello Empire League Tournament with an 18-hole score of 484.
Erica Villegas hit a low score of 0, while Williams hit 93, McGrath hit 98, Fernald hit 109 and Kramer hit 114.
On Monday Vacaville lost to Rodriguez 201-258.
Villegas hit 35, Williams hit 48 and McGrath hit 56, one better than Fernald hit 57. Farris and Kramer hit 62 each.
Solano 3, Butte 0
The Solano College volleyball team defeated Butte in a sweep on Wednesday at the Los Medanos Classic, winning 25-23, 25-23, 26-24.
“We managed to stay on course and stay focused during the match,” said Solano coach Darla Williams. “We lost last week in the Delta Tournament to them, so it was nice to get that win today.”
Sammy Brown led with 17 kills adding 10 digs. Kelsey Wall had 10 kills and served 17-17 with five aces, also with 12 digs. Lili Ayala led the net with three blocks, while Hannah Del Rio contributed five kills and Crystal Carroll led the defense with 14 hits. Rachel Lin added six kills and Dani Rydjord ran the offense with 34 assists.
