Women’s sneakers open fall game with dominant fashion in Bethany Moore’s invitation

MUNCIE, Indiana — The Ball State women’s tennis team picked up right where they left off last season, with the Cardinals dominating the field in doubles and singles on Friday afternoon at the 4th Bethany Moore Invitational.

In fact, 10 of the Cardinals made it to the semifinals in their respective singles spots. Ball State won 18 total matches in singles and doubles.

Emma Peeler paired with teammate Mariya Polishchuk ninth. 1 Doubles Flight defeating their respective opponents 8-3 and 8-1 to reach the title fight on Saturday against Jillian Milaon and Liza Mladentseva of Oakland.

On doubles flight #2, Jessica Braun next to the doubles partner Annika Planinsek won two victories and will face his teammates Ella Hazelbaker and Elena Malykh tomorrow morning.

Polishchuk, Braun, Amy KaplanMalykh, Peeler, Planinsek, Livia Lukacs, Emily Desaiand Jacqueline Pearsall all advanced to the semis in their respective singles flights.

The action at Bethany Moore’s 4th Annual Invitation concludes on Saturday, with the final round of doubles matches beginning at 10:00 ET. The final rounds of singles will follow shortly after the conclusion of the doubles competition.
