Lycoming (0-0 MAC Commonwealth, 1-1) vs. Albright (0-1, 0-3)

When, where: Saturday, noon, Shirk Stadium, Reading.

Last week: Albright lost 28-14 at home to Misericordia. Lycoming had a goodbye after beating Lebanon Valley 21-20 on the road on September 10.

Notable: Lycoming has led the series 37-20-2 since 1957, including a 28-7 home win last season. … Albright, who has lost 10 in a row, is averaging 11.7 points per game. … Linebacker Sam Viera continues to lead MAC in tackles with 12.7 per game. Teammate Daniel Vital, also a linebacker, is third with 10.7. … Antietam graduate Johnny Day, a junior defensive back who played for Exeter, is on the Lycoming roster.

Shepherd (3-0) in Kutztown (2-1)

When, where: Saturday, noon, Andre Reed Stadium, Kutztown.

Last week: Kutztown defeated Mercyhurst 50-31 on the road. Shepherd beat California (Pa.) 26-23 in overtime at home.

Notable: The Eastern Opening of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference for both teams. … The series is tied at 2-2. Kutztown won 37-29 last year in the regular season at Shepherd, then lost 30-28 at home to a Tyler Bagent’s Hail Mary pass when time expired in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division II. … Shepherd is ranked 5th in Division II. … Coach Jim Clements has 61 wins at Kutztown, tied with George Baldwin for the program record. … Former KU player John Mobley, who won two Super Bowls as a linebacker with the Denver Broncos, will be recognized in Saturday’s game. He is being presented with his university degree, the KU President’s Medal and being inducted into the KU Athletics Hall of Fame later on Saturday.
