Northern Texas PGA names new golf park after longtime pro

The North Texas Professional Golfers Association will name its synthetic turf golf park after longtime NTPGA pro Ronny Glanton, according to an NTPGA press release. Glanton has worked as a principal at the Sherrill Park Golf Course in Richardson since 1985 and was recognized by the PGA of America in 2020 with the national award for Golf Professional of the Year. “The Ronny” Golf Park, a 2-hectare lighted synthetic turf golf park, will feature two replica putting greens of the 18 greens of the PGA Friso East and West courses reduced in size, a third practice putting green, a 18-hole golf course, and a playground and obstacle course for children. The park will open in 2023 at PGA Frisco and will feature signage with the park’s name. 214-420-7421.
