Northern Colorado men’s basketball will face Baylor in 2022

The University of Northern Colorado wants to earn a spot in the NCAA Tournament and hopes the challenging non-conference schedule released Thursday will provide effective preparation.

The UNC lineup includes state rivals, March Madness teams and a former national champion.

Northern Colorado will open the season on November 7 in Houston and make its home debut on November 11 against Texas A&M-Commerce, who are in their first year at the Division I level.

Other big matchups include trips to Baylor (November 14), Colorado State (December 3) and Colorado (December 18).

The Bears will only have four home games as part of their non-conference schedule. In addition to TAMU-Commerce, it will also host the State of San Jose (November 19), Colorado Christian (November 22) and the Air Force (December 20).

UNC will go in late November to the Lobo Classic, hosted by New Mexico.

The Big Sky play will begin in late December when UNC heads to Weber State.
