Men’s Golf Center: SEC Fall Preview

Tennessee’s 12th men’s golf team is back in action for their second tournament of the fall, traveling to Vestavia Hills, Alabama for the SEC Fall Preview.

The single event, which is in its second year of existence, will feature all 14 SEC schools competing on 54 holes of strokes – 36 holes on Sunday followed by 18 on Monday – with matches on Tuesday. The top two teams in the stroke play will face each other in the final groups of the day, while the other 12 teams will face each other in the East vs West format.

The tournament is scheduled to be played at the Old Overton Club, par 70 and 7,204 yards. The Tom Fazio-designed course was ranked sixth in the state of Alabama by Golf Digest.

According to the Bushnell/Golfweek Coaches Survey, seven of the teams participating in the SEC Fall Preview are ranked in the top 25. Tennessee is the third highest ranked team on the field.

This marks the second time under the trainer’s command Brennan Webb the Vols will compete at Old Overton. During the 2020-21 season, Tennessee scored 11 below the team on the Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate.
