LISBON – For the first time in the Columbiana County Community Action Agency’s nearly 60-year history, the agency is organizing a golf outing to raise funds to continue providing services to county residents in need.
CAACC’s first annual round of golf is scheduled to begin at 9 am on Friday, September 23 at Salem Golf Club, 1967 S. Lincoln Ave., Salem.
The agency is still accepting some teams of four for the event, with golf packages costing $125 per person. This price includes registration fees, continental breakfast, lunch and dinner, plus 18 holes of golf. Registration begins at 7:30 am on September 23.

Prizes will be awarded during the one-day event to golfers for a hole-in-one contest, skill holes and first and second place quartets. There will also be a 50/50 sweepstakes, Chinese auction and other sweepstakes, according to Andrews.
Lunch will include hamburgers, hot dogs, fries and refreshments. The dinner buffet includes Tuscan Chicken, Ribeye Steak a la Bordelaise, house salad, fresh green beans and herb-roasted red skin and golden Yukon potatoes.
Those who don’t want to play golf but want to show support for the CAA can join the dinner, which costs $50 per person. For information, contact Bickel.
