LONDON, Sept 22 (Reuters) – Manchester United (MANU.N) did more business in the summer transfer window than anticipated and fans shouldn’t expect such a high level of activity for a while, said the director of club football this Thursday.

United have recruited Antony, Casemiro, Christian Eriksen, Lisandro Martinez and Tyrell Malacia as they look to bolster their roster under new manager Erik ten Hag.

“Overall, we are well ahead in our recruitment plans as anticipated at the start of the summer, and we do not anticipate the same level of activity in future windows,” director of football John Murtough said in a call to discuss the club’s financial performance. see More information

Murtough also praised the early impact of former Ajax Amsterdam manager Ten Hag, who led the recruitment process.

“We’ve already seen during his first four months in charge an increase in drive, focus and motivation that bodes well for the future,” he said.

United have won their last four Premier League games after starting with two defeats under Ten Hag.
