Men’s Basketball TV Assignments, Tip Times Announced

COLLEGE PARK, MD – With the 2022-23 Maryland men’s basketball season fast approaching, the Big Ten Conference today announced its league-wide television assignments as well as starting times.

In addition to Big Ten Network and FS1 coverage, nine games will be available on the ESPN family of networks.

O Kevin Willard The era will officially begin on November 7, when Maryland hosts Niagara (7pm) at the XFINITY Center as part of a three-game home to open the season.

The non-conference schedule will also be highlighted playing Basketball Hall of Fame Tip-Off at the Mohegan Sun against Saint Louis (Nov. Louisville (November 29) at the ACC/Big Ten Challenge, and facing Tennessee (December 11, 4:30 pm) at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn as part of the Basketball Hall of Fame Invitational. Maryland will also host the future Big Ten foe UCLA (December 14, 9 pm) at the XFINITY Center as part of a home-and-home series.

Willard brought an exciting mix of transfers (Jahmir Young, Don CareyPatrick Emilien, Jahari Long) along with freshmen (Noah Batchelor and Caelum Swanton-Rodger) to accompany major returnees Hakim Hart, Julian Reese and Donta Scott for the 2022-23 season.

Of Terps’ 25 opponents in 2022-23, 14 played in the 2022 NCAA Tournament with Miami and Saint Peter advancing to the Elite Eight along with Michigan, Providence, Purdue and UCLA playing in the Sweet 16. Overall, of Terps’ 31 games regular season schedules, 17 will be against teams that played in the 2022 NCAA Tournament.
