At the. 16 women’s football opens Ivy League game at Penn on Saturday

CAMBRIDGE, Massachusetts — The Harvard women’s soccer team (6-0-1, 0-0 Ivy) will open its Ivy League schedule this week when it travels to Philadelphia to face the Penn Quakers. The match will be held at Rhodes Field on Saturday, September 24th and is scheduled for 2pm. The match can be streamed live on ESPN+.

Crimson heads into the clash with a 2-2 draw at number 17 in the TCU, it’s their first result apart from a win this season.

  • Harvard ranked 11th in the first NCAA RPI of the season (via games on September 18)

  • The Icelander was also nominated for the National Football Team for Best Drawer of the Week.

  • The group enters conference play leading the Ivy League in goals (20), assists (16), scoring (2.86 goals per game) and goals allowed (five)
  • Hannah Bebar and Angela Caloia share the Ivy League lead with four assists each
  • Hannah Gardner leads conference in GAA (0.286), percentage savings (0.900) and shutdowns (three)
  • The Crimson are one of only two Ivy League teams with five players to score two or more goals in 2022
  • Harvard is 7-2-1 in their last ten games against Penn, including wins in the last two

After a three-week hiatus, Harvard will return to the Jordan camp when it hosts Yale for a match on Saturday, October 1 at 5pm.
