Women’s Tennis Opens ITA Regionals in Fort Worth

WACO, Texas — The Baylor women’s tennis team will hit the road to Fort Worth, Texas to take on the ITA Texas Regional Championships, hosted by TCU at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center.

The event starts on Thursday and runs through Monday in Fort Worth. Baylor will be represented in doubles by Paula Baranano and Daniella Dimitrovwho won byes in the first round, and Lyubov Kostenko and brooke thompsonwho will face SMU’s duo Lana Mavor and Drew Morris in the first round.

In singles, Thompson will face Megan Do de Lamar at 9:30 am on Thursday.

“The women have worked hard this fall and are ready to play and test themselves,” the Baylor coach said. Joey Scrivano said. “We are proud of his preparation and now it’s all about letting go and having fun on the court.”
