LUBBOCK, Texas – Junior Kelly Keller wins his third straight match of the fall to advance to the round of 16 at the ITF Lubbock Pro Circuit on Wednesday.
It was another Razorback battle when Keller faced rookie Carolina Gomez-Alonso in the first round of the main draw. Keller scored a decisive 6-1 victory in the first set, but Gomez-Alonso kept the tie in the second. Keller eventually came out in the top 7-6 to advance to the second round of the main draw.
Junior Indianna Spink also competed today, losing 3-6, 0-6 to Oklahoma State’s Ayumi in the first round of the main draw. Spink won two straight qualifying matches to reach the main show.
Rookie Carolina Gomez-Alonso also competed in the main doubles draw with Raquel Gonzalez Villar of Oklahoma State. The duo won the match 6-3, 6-1 to advance.
Keller will be back on the court tomorrow for the round of 16. Draws and results can be found on the tournament homepage.
