Former Wisconsin Big Man Micah Potter Joins New NBA Team

Micha Potter reportedly has a new home in the NBA. Potter and the Utah Jazz have struck a two-way deal, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania.

Potter spent his first two college years with Ohio State before transferring to Wisconsin for two years and making the leap to the NBA. In the senior year, he averaged 12.5 points and 6 rebounds, but was undrafted.

Potter spent most of last season with Sioux Falls Skyforce, averaging solid 17 points and 10 rebounds. He got some NBA action for the Detroit Pistons, where he appeared in 3 games and averaged 4 points and 3 rebounds.

The Jazz are starting life without big star Rudy Gobert, which puts the former Wisconsin great in an ideal situation to be given a considerable amount of playing time to prove himself.
