Brookings Registry | Jackrabbit men’s golf finishes 12th

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado — The South Dakota men’s golf team finished 12th Tuesday at the Ram Masters Invitational, hosted by the state of Colorado. Jonah Dohrer paced the Jackrabbits in 23rd place.

Dohrer recorded a par 70 on his final 18 holes, bringing his three-round score to +2,212 (72-70-70). Ty Kretz was six shots behind in a six-way tie for 40th place. He recorded a final count of 218 (+8).

Matthew Schaefer finished tied for 59th with a final score of 222 (+12). Blake Schaper ended the day in 63rd place (+14, 224) and Luke Honner finished in a tie for 79th place (+22, 232).

Colorado State won their home tournament with 17 under 823. Brady McKinlay of Utah Valley won medalist honors with a final score of 201 (-9).

The Jackrabbits will return to the Midwest for the Big O Classic October 3-4 in Omaha.
