Augustana Soccer back home for NSIC matches

SIOUX FALLS, SD–Augustana Football returns to Morstad Field for a couple of NSIC matches this weekend. The Vikings host the Bemidji State Beavers on Friday at 4pm. On Sunday, Minnesota Crookston visits the Vikings. Departure is scheduled for 1 pm

Bemidji State enters Friday’s match with a 3-2-2 record overall and a 2-1-1 record in NSIC action. Sara Wendt is BSU’s top scorer with three goals. Wendt also scored two winning goals this season for the Beavers.

Two goalkeepers spent time on the field across Bemidji State. Alyssa Stumbaugh appeared in six games and Georgiana Harber played one game. Stumbaugh has a save percentage of 0.789.

Augustana has an all-time record of 7-8-4 against Bemidji State, with the Beavers beating the Vikings 2-0 in their last game in October 2021.

Fehr totaled 15 assists last season, a single-season record and four assists in 2019, to enter 2022 tied for a career record with 19. She surpassed Stephanie Goos, who played for the Vikings from 2007-10.

Jillian Barkus has been the only goalkeeper this season for Augustana. Barkus started all seven games and has a .711 save percentage, having faced 81 shots.
