Racers set to start MVC’s inaugural season

Murray State women’s football begins its inaugural season at the Missouri Valley Conference on Thursday, when it hosts Belmont at 3 pm at Cutchin Field in Murray, Kentucky. The Racers and Bruins split their all-time series 7-7.

MSU enters the fray after a close 2-0 game with Oklahoma when the senior goalie Jenna Villacres got 12 saves against the Sooners. Villacres leads the Racers goalkeepers with 25 saves in the year.

back racing center Morgan Bodker continues to lead the Racers with two goals this season. Murray State has shown great balance in his play, with seven players earning at least one assist this season. The MSU defense showed great offensive capability in 2022, contributing to six goals in the campaign.
