Tennis fans will not only be able to watch leading British and international tennis players compete in the W100 Women’s Tour, but there is also a whole host of fantastic family fun on offer at The Shrewsbury Club.
From Sunday, October 30 to Sunday, November 6, 2022 at The Shrewsbury Club, visitors can enjoy a tennis festival, featuring street food, interactive fan zones and live music, as well as special ticket events.
One of Britain’s most beloved tennis players, Laura Robson, will star during an evening’s talk with her and high-profile coach, Iain Bates. In addition to sharing their stories, they participate in a question and answer session with the audience.
A free workshop titled No Sweat: Careers in Sport gives students the opportunity to learn about careers in sports and watch world-class tennis.
The program also includes a party night with dancing to the live band “Dirty Rockin Scoundrels”, street food and a bar run by Shrewsbury’s “Gindifferent”.
There is also a Family Fanzone Day on the weekend, billed as the ultimate family tennis experience with plenty of activities for all ages. From Pickleball to Padel Tennis, an interactive “Multiball” sports wall to a tennis factory and a wealth of interactive games, including a competition to see who has the fastest serve, there is something. Families can also meet single players and participate in a “Beat the Coach” match.
