PISCATAWAY, NJ – Rutgers women’s basketball has released its non-conference schedule for 2022-23. Times and television names will be announced in the coming weeks.
The Scarlet Knights kick off the campaign at home to Hofstra on Monday, November 7 at Jersey Mike’s Arena, the first of nine home games for the non-conference slate. RU will play its first four games at home in November against Hofstra (Mon. Nov. 7), Seton Hall (Fri. Nov. 11), NJIT (Sun. Nov. 13) and North Carolina Central (Wed., Nov. 16).
Rutgers then heads out for the Battle 4 Atlantis for three yet to be announced games against a field that includes Louisville, Tennessee, South Dakota State, UCLA, Marquette, Texas and Gonzaga. The Scarlet Knights return to the United States on Sunday, November 27 for another home game against Cornell.
The Scarlet Knights took to Boston College in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge on Wednesday, November 30.
Non-conference action ends in December with four more home games against Delaware State on Wednesday 7, Hampton on Saturday 10, Princeton on Thursday 15 and New Orleans on Sunday 18.
Rutgers renews a few regional rivalries this season with Seton Hall and Princeton. The Scarlet Knights will face the Pirates for the first time since 2017 in the New Jersey enemies’ 46th encounter. RU also plays against Princeton for the first time since 2017, marking the 21st meeting since the first quadrature in 1974.
The Big Ten announced Rutgers’ opponents for the 2022-23 season in June, with official dates and times to be announced in the coming weeks.
