MEMPHIS, Tennessee – One of the busiest golf courses in Memphis gets a makeover.
On Tuesday, city officials celebrated new improvements to the Links at Fox Meadows.
That is the second most attended public course in Memphis.
Officials hope to attract even more golfers with new improvements.
“It’s a $3 million renovation with a sprinkler system and now the greens again. It looks fantastic,” Mayor Jim Strickland said.
“When we invest in neighbourhoods, we invest in ourselves. When we take the time to make things look good on purpose, we show that we care about the people in those communities and that we care about ourselves and that we’re betting on getting better,” said Nick Walker, director from Memphis Parks.
There are 17 golf courses in Memphis. Seven are public.
