Football Tops No. 8 Ranking USC Preseason Poll

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas football ranked No. 8 in the United Soccer Coaches Preseason Poll released Tuesday afternoon.

The Hogs are ranked the highest among the four SEC teams featured in the poll, with all four falling in the top 20. Arkansas is set for a top 10 matchup when it faces No. 3 BYU on September 8.

The Razorbacks already got their first crack against a top opponent when they split with TCU in the spring. The Horned Frogs come in at No. 7 in the poll.

Last season, head coach Colby Hale led the Razorbacks to their most successful season in program history, winning a season-record 19 games, earning their first trip to the NCAA Elite 8, and securing their third straight regular-season SEC title.

With its recent success, the Arkansas program ranked 13th in SoccerWire.com’s Best Soccer Teams: Top 50 Current NCAA Women’s Programs.

Arkansas opens the 2022 season on the road in Saint Louis on Thursday, August 17 at 7 p.m. The Hogs’ first home game is scheduled for Sunday, August 21 at noon. Season tickets can be purchased here.
